Season comes to an end for Rainbow Wahine basketball with 73-50 loss to LSU at NCAA tournament

UH will need to rely on the offensive production of Lily Wahinekapu and Daejah Phillips if they plan on keeping pace with the Tigers.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawaii women’s basketball fought hard in their match-up Friday against LSU in the NCAA Tournament.

But it ultimately wasn’t enough.

The no. 14-ranked Rainbow Wahine ended their season with the 73-50 loss to the no. 3 LSU Tigers.

Hawaii knew it was facing an uphill battle heading into the game.

The Tigers boast one of the highest scoring offenses in college basketball.

So the ‘Bows worked on slowing the game down and controlling the clock against the Tigers.
