HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A mechanical issue with the primary Zipmobile slowed westbound traffic Thursday afternoon on the H-1 Freeway as crews worked on the issue.

The problems were resolved about 3:30 p.m. and all lanes reopened.

The state Transportation Department said the primary Zipmobile malfunctioned Wednesday morning and so a backup was used to close the Zipperlane.

A westbound lane was then closed as crews worked on the primary Zipmobile.

A DOT spokesperson said the Zipper lane will open as usual on Friday morning.
